Your journey begins with arrival logistics at Omalos high plain between 8:30 and 9:00 AM. Here, you’ll enjoy a coffee stop, allowing everyone to gather and prepare before entering the gorge.

Entering the gorge around 9:15 AM, the hike requires keen attention to group dynamics. Staying together ensures safety and camaraderie. The weather conditions can vary, so be prepared for changes that might affect your pace. Always listen to your guide for any adjustments due to unforeseen circumstances.

Throughout the hike, you’ll encounter designated rest stops. These are perfect opportunities to hydrate, snack, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Reaching Agia Roumeli by 4:30 to 5:00 PM, you’ll have a brief moment to relax and regroup.

The boat departs at 5:30 PM, sailing you to Chora Sfakia by 6:30 PM. Finally, an air-conditioned coach will take you back to Rethymno, arriving between 8:00 and 9:00 PM. By adhering to this schedule, you’ll ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience.

  1. The trip is not recommended for any person with a history of knee problems, high blood pressure, cardiac and pulmonary problems, for pregnant women and for anybody who suffers from vertigo/fear of heights!
  2. For bookings 2 days before departure please contact us in order to check availability!

  4. Please arrive on time to the given pick-up point. Unfortunately, there is no option to wait for latecomers. In case of delay, missed pick-up, missed departure time, no refunds.
